Description
These baskets are made by hand from sisal growing on land belonging to the weaver. The sisal is made into fibre by rolling thin strands together, making it light but very strong. It is then coloured using local flowers and bark.
Leather straps, edging or fastenings are added by a local leather worker, Ezra, who tans and works his own leather.
Each bag is unique and made to the highest standard.
This one is 56cms across and 32cms deep. It has two flat leather handles 80cms long, making it a comfortable and useful shoulder bag.
