This range of baskets is made by a group of women working together in Bolgatanga, Ghana. They call their group Puupeelum, which means ‘happiness’, because the work they do earns them enough to look after their families and send their children to school. They use natural materials which grow in the area around their homes.
There are so many uses for the baskets. The handles are strong and are bound with leather for comfort when carrying.
These are the largest of our bolga baskets measuring a generous 16″/40cms in diameter and 10″/25cms deep, although the hand made nature of these items means that all sizes are approximate. Every one of them is unique.
Supplied shaped and ready to use.
