A range of knitting needle rolls in 3 sizes to keep all sizes of needles and accessories stored safely.
Made from traditional shweshwe fabric.
The printed cotton cloth known locally as shweshwe was introduced into South Africa soon after the first settlers arrived at the Cape in 1652 with slaves, soldiers and Khoi-San making their clothing from durable material.
Use of the material increased rapidly and today shweshwe is still used for traditional ceremonies in the rural areas. A shweshwe dress or skirt is still a symbol of national identity for Basotho women and special designs are produced for important occasions such as royal birthdays and national festivals.
