From the Soul - giving life to the dying
This project was started to provide work for unemployed people, many of who are H.I.V. positive/AIDS victims.
The recycled paper factory was born out of this need.
Today there is a successful business in Kwa Zulu Natal.
This beautiful paper and associated products are made from invasive river reed, sisal, khaki boos, flax, wild ginger, buglet, yucca,banana,carob,strelitza,and invasive bug weed to name a few.
Three qualified nursing sisters administer "from the soul" and therefore are able to provide an ongoing education in H.I.V./Aids. They believe good nutrition helps to keep H.I.V. positive people in the workplace.
Profits also provide pre-school education.
Due to the nature of the project we do not feature photographs of the workers.
